Extreme Marketing for the Internet Age - How am I better at it?

Lisa Crowder, real estate marketing ninja I came into real estate by a rather unusual path. About 10 years ago, I started atlanta-midtown.com (an online portal to the intown neighborhoods), which quickly split off into a second web site, showing247.com (a real estate micro-portal for Atlanta's intown neighborhoods). As the publisher of showing247.com, I created a unique form of virtual tour that provided not only photos, but also detailed information about the home and neighborhood. My tours are, if I do say so myself, the best in the city. I still own showing247.com, and the company still creates tours for intown agents.

Several years ago, I recognized the fact that I had a better intuitive grasp of the mechanics of advertising properties online than the agents I worked for. I understand how internet marketing works and I have the skills necessary to create all my marketing collateral (both online and traditional) personally. This allows me to do a better job with my marketing AND do it more quickly than other agents, who typically must wait for 3rd party vendors to provide their photography, create their virtual tours and print brochures, and, frequently, even input their listings into the multiple listing services. So I got my real estate license so that I could offer my services directly to consumers.

The reality of today's real estate market is that timing is crucial. In order to reach the largest possible audience of potential buyers for your home, you must have all marketing ready to launch the day the listing hits the market. I can do it faster and better than other agents.

Other skills and experiences that I have that assist me in my real estate career include: a master's degree in landscape architecture with a certificate in historic preservation (I have a designer's eye, which assists with staging homes, and an understanding of architecture -- including historic architecture -- which better allows me to describe unique features of the homes I sell); I also have 15 years experience as a legal secretary, which makes me meticulous and deliberate (important qualities in a real estate agent).
